Getting Here

It is easy to get to Between the Bushes and Blueberry Acres from anywhere in Nova Scotia!

First find Highway 101 that runs between Halifax and Yarmouth through the Annapolis Valley, and head towards New Minas (you can also take Highway 1 - the scenic Evangeline Trail if you are touring). We're only about 10 km (6 miles) from the highway down Middle Dyke Road.

  • from Highway 101, take Exit 12 and turn right at the bottom of the ramp

  • go straight through three sets of lights and one stop sign

  • at the second stop sign, turn left and go approximately 100 feet (between two churches) and turn right

  • travel about 1 km (just over 1/2 mile) and look to your left.
That's us in the large gold building with the burgundy trim.
    Come on in!

Overview Map

If you're coming in from Highway 1, through New Minas, you are already on Commercial Street. Drive through town to the last set of stoplights ... just after the shell gas station. Turn right there. Now you only have one more set of lights and two stop signs to go from there.

If you are a visitor to the province of Nova Scotia, you might want to stop at a Tourist Bureau (look for the ? signs) and pick up the Nova Scotia Doers and Dreamers Tour Guide. This is a fantastic resource, and it will provide maps and locations of the sites of interest, including picnic stops along the way. Simply turn to the Evangeline Trail section and it's all laid out from there! You can follow the Evangeline Trail (Highway 1) from Halifax, but of course it will take you longer to get here. Or, you can get on Highway 101 and exit at any point you wish to join with the Evangeline Trail.
